How to clean car seats and carpet
Most interiors come back with a vacuum and the right cleaner. Here is the routine, and when it is time for a shampoo machine.
The weekly routine
- Pull the floor mats and shake or beat them out.
- Vacuum seats, carpet and the gaps by the rails. Ours are free with any wash, with compressed air for the cracks.
- Wipe hard surfaces with a damp microfiber.
- Blot spills right away. Rubbing pushes them deeper.

Cloth vs leather
Cloth seats hold dirt and smells in the fabric, so a light upholstery cleaner and a blot works for spots. Leather needs a pH safe cleaner and a conditioner so it stays soft and does not crack. Our leather treatment uses Meguiar's cleaner and conditioner.
When to shampoo
Stains that come back, smells, pet hair worked into the fabric, kids and beach sand are the signs. Our seat shampoo and carpet shampoo are $125 each for a car, done with professional extraction machines so they dry fresh. The interior detail does both plus every surface for $200.
Questions
