Buff and polish Detail
Machine polish that takes out light scratches, swirl marks and water spotting and brings back the mirror finish.
What a buff and polish does
Swirl marks are the fine circular scratches you see in sunlight, usually from automatic brushes or dirty towels. Water spots are minerals etched into the clear coat. Both live in the top layer of the paint, and a machine polish takes that layer down just enough to remove them. The car is washed, clayed, then polished panel by panel with a dual action machine and finished with wax to protect the fresh surface.
Once a year, or whenever the paint looks hazy in the sun.

It removes scratches in the clear coat, the kind you cannot catch with a fingernail. A scratch you can feel has gone through to the color and needs a body shop.
Yes. We use a dual action polisher and measure how we work each panel. It removes microns, not layers, and every car has plenty of clear coat for a yearly polish.
They are similar. The exterior detail is the same process with a Meguiar's wax seal and is the one most people book. If you only care about the paint correction, buff and polish is the focused version.
